DLR HM merch. report for 11-8

Was at DLR today and here's a rundown. Port Royal had 8 copies left of the LE Vinyl/CD set. And ONE Shag lantern which someone bought within 2 hrs of my being there. No HM open edition cd's and the usual magnets & keychains. The HM snowglobe was there. Disney Gallery sold out of the ribbon pendants and the brooch. Still had the cuff for sale. This evening my stupid f******* cat knocked over my Ghost Bride Big Fig and she is now literally Resting In Pieces (the big fig, not the cat). About a dozen pieces ... destroyed beyond repair.

My wish list:

A new and improved version of the old Lakeside 70s board game. I used to love to play that game with friends (while playing the "Story and Song" LP in the background to add extra mood.) But recently, looking at pictures of the original game on eBay, it's not as great as I remembered. The shifting playboard was a great idea (kind of reminds me now of the shifting staircases in the first Harry Potter film) but aside from that there's not much to do...

Whats the value of a Hitchhiking Ghost big fig statue

Two years ago, a friend gave me a statue of Ezra the hitchhiking ghost. It has a light-up base with blue l.e.d.'s.
There's no box, and it's a bit scuffed. One person was selling a similar "Gus" unopened for $400.

So, what do you think?
Oh, by the way, it weighs about 40 pounds and is 3 feet tall.

I am probably the only one who didn't notice this before now, but...

I was showing my Coffin to friends this weekend... in the dark... and realized for the first time that the panel at the foot end of the coffin glows! Or, I should say, the light comes through that side as well. I never noticed it before.

Kinda cool. Thought I would share my delight.

What is this?

Doodly Squat in Walt Disney World

Just back from a trip to Walt Disney World. It was a sorry sight: the number of non-working effects and AA figures in the rides was staggering. We watched the entire "It's Tough to be a Bug" and the Hopper AA figure never showed up. There were NO effects working on Expedition Everest. ZERO. The coaster ran and that was it. Only the Mansion appeared to run at 100 percent.

Anyway, in the area of Haunted Mansion collectibles there were a few of those uninteresting Larry...

Comparing new Haunted Mansion CDs to the old LPs

After hearing clips of the old "Chilling Sounds from the Haunted Mansion" LP on doombuggies, I started searching for it on Amazon, only to discover, alas, that it was never released on CD. (My turntable bit the dust the long time ago.) Otherwise, it would make the perfect collection of atmospheric music and FX for Halloween season, miles ahead of all the non-Disney competitors out there.

My other option, I guess, is to pick up a copy of the new "ride-thru" CD...

I've seen DelivEARS mentioned in a few of the threads about the new Haunted Mansion CD. Is DelivEARS some sort of service where you can buy Disney park exclusive stuff without actually having to go to the park? If so, how do I get in touch with them?

I figured I share with the group since I have done some research on this and the prices on ebay are just ridiculous.
