I'm just amused by how, when it was made, Disney wouldn't fess up to making it. It was released under the Touchstone imprint. But then NBC became really hip in Japan and that hipness translated over here, and now that there's money to be made off it, Disney isn't going to let it go nosir nohow.

They closed the barn door after the horse got out and won the triple crown, and are now taking all credit for said horse's victory.

I'm tried of stupid emos overrating it. Now I love Tim Burton, and his stop motion animation is without a doubt amazing, but I knew Christmas and Halloween didn't mix. I don't need a two and a half hour movie on it.

The NBC overlay is, IMO, perfectly suited for the Mansion and an enjoyable seasonal addition. Not that vampire ducks and creepy carnivorous vines taking over "small world" wouldn't be fun...just not as contextual.

Anybody else think the loading area looks WAY too empty when the NBC isn't there? You'd think the Imaginears would cook up something for such a large, blank canvas for the rest of the year...

I was eighteen when NBC exploded onto the scene. I didn't really think it was good or bad then, just a solid film for it's time. My daughter loves it. It reminds me of the Dark Crystal. When I was young I though it was the best movie ever. I had to watch it much later in life and needless to say it doesn't hold up well over time.
