Now that you all mesntion it i may have seen ssome art soemwhere but the fact that it may naot have been put in as maybe a last minute deicsion woudl explin alot...iwoudl lve to see the stoc kpics

One other thing is that X. Atencio did a concept sketch for it.

Any artwork for the character would be stuck somewhere at WDI, its just a matter of finding it.

That's an interesting twist in the tale. The thing is, people have seen a man in the spider web. It's very possible that it was only there for a very short time (Much like 'ol Hatty was), and removed and stashed in the basement. Most of the stories do say that he wound up under the ride track, and was there for a long time (until he vanished; could he have been re-dressed for another attraction? Or possibly just destroyed?).

The man in the web did indeed make it to the grounds at WDW, but according to my trainer he was never installed. He was still there when I worked there (circa 86), stashed in one of the concrete pits beneath an omnimover motor. A neat bit of trivia to be sure. But I, personally, am glad that he was never used...wrong type of gag for a Disney attraction.

Me too ......I hear the arguments for and against and they are equally compellling to me as far as wheather Spider Guy was actually put into the ride for while

man with all the hype you would have thought they woudl have shown up on the interenet by now

One can only wish i was only 4 when i first rode the ride.......when it first opened..to little to remeber the details
