I understand what you mean, I was just guessing tho, since thats what theyre doing with the WDCC piece, so theres a chance I might be wrong. But, that being said, Im HOPING thats the case, otherwise, I dont have a chance of getting the coffin, which I really really want!

That just doesn't make sense. I can understand doing that with the WDCC piece, since WDCC things are often released in many locations, but when merchandise is designed for an event, why release it elsewhere as well? If they are selling 200 at WDW, that leaves me no reason to put them on my RSP, since I'll just be able to run down the street and get em when they come out here. I'll save on shipping that way as well. And if that's the case, there's only a small number of...

Some more updates... the candelabra and the coffin will be editions of 500, but only 300 will be available through RSP. Size information is up for the jackets.

The "Open Editions" such as the HHG statue and the Gallery of light pieces will most likely be available at the World of Disney store in NYC (which, by the way, is closing in 2010 ) which is quite close to where I live, so I don't worry much about that. MG13 - Unfortunately I haven't had the time to keep up with some threads (as lengthy as they're getting ) and I'm not trying to belittle your disappointment however, even though you can't go to the event itself, some of the items being posted are "open editions". In addition, have you had a chance to (or have the monetary means to) ask to purchase items through someone who is attending?

33 and 34 were reasonably priced around $75 each. I hope they don't raise the price.

The merchandise list for the 40th anniversary has had two small updates: the Jim Shore piece has a new photo. I know Jim Shore has a lot of fans, but his the face of his Phineas sculpt looks nothing like Phineas to me. What's with the teeth?

Also, the Chess set has had its retail price (previously listed as $999) removed. Considering the interest in the chess set, we may see a larger edition with a lower price. Or, we may just see the price jump to something like $1500.

Does anyone know of any HM stuff coming out for the 40th next year? For the 30th they put out a set of lenticular postcards that I would love to get (but not for $100+). I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will put out another set next year. Any news out there yet about cool merchandise? Thanks!
