I'm kind of in the school of thought that I'd rather the new rides be state of the art, but I think there's room for some of the older rides to be a little on the creaky and old fashioned side. Some things should be enjoyed for what they are. Take "Dracula" with Bella Lugosi. Would the film really be enhanced if we were able to have Lugosi's Dracula or the brides glitter? I for one was really excited that they not only reopened Sleeping Beauty's castle,...

I don't know about redesigning the old rides, they are fine the way they are. My 3 yo grand daughter was on Peter Pan, and as you go out the window, she leaned over and looked down. Her eyes got really big, and she turned to my wife and says "Grandma! We're flying!" She got it. What I would rather see, is tearing out all the Poo(h), and putting the good rides back.

Before creating any new rides, I'd like to revamp what exists in Fantasyland.

I realize that these are classics, but they simply can't compete with the technology of rides today. So, why not improve them? Wouldn't it be...

I always thought it would be neat to create a roller coaster based on the runaway mine car scene in Indiana Jones.

That seems to be the idea of the Indiana Jones coaster at Disney Paris.

I always thought it would be neat to create a roller coaster based on the runaway mine car scene in Indiana Jones. I guess they would have to replace the stunt show to not double theme. Another idea is a roller coaster based on the speeders from return of the jedi would be cool...it could be a suspended coaster to get the feeling of skimming the terrain. Along the SW theme, they could change Star Tours to be something else. If they could figure out how to make it a new story and 3D, that...

With the Aerosmith and Chilli Peppers crossovers, I think its time for a Metallica based ride. They'll put their name on anything now so I'm pretty sure Disney could swing it. Lets call it "Ride the Lightning!".

If they did do a ride based on "Great Mouse Detective" I would love to have them use the same characters, but in all new adventure...though bringing Ratigan back would be pretty near impossible. I guess you could say somehow he lived at the end sort of like Moriarty coming back, and possibly lift Vincent dialogue from his various movies to fit the scenes or find a very good impersonator.

You might remember a film Disney made called "Great Mouse Detective?" The film was about a mouse counterpart to holmes, and had a first rate villian named Ratigan, played by the imortal Vincent Price. I would love to see a ride based on that film.

Since "Fantasmic" is too simular, it would never be made but I have always wanted to see a full ride based on Fantasia. Lots of great possibilities. A non-Disney property I would love to see made into a ride would be a "Sherlock Holmes" ride made as authentic as possible. Perhaps a rousing chase after Professor Moriarty? I think it would be especially cool if the first half was an interactive walk through where you try to solve the crime with Holmes and Watson, the second...

As I think about it, lets go oldschool. How about a black hole ride using the omnimovers?
You get onboard your "skimmer" and start with approaching the black hole. Oh no! you're getting pulled in! *rotate 180, lean backwards 45* sound the alarm, shoot the mists "we're losing oxygen" Then it all goes quiet *seat returns to 0 pitch* , "look theres a ship ahead" Lights turn on "and there must be someone aboard

One idea I've had for a long time I know will never happen is a dark ride in the Germany pavilion in World Showcase. The vehicles would be something like what's used in Dinosaur or Indiana Jones Adventure, a car that can react with the environment. I thought of a whole new Haunted Mansion for Adventureland. It looks like the Mansion from the film in a swamp. It was the home of an adventurer and I used some concepts from the drawings in Jaso Surell's book like the fake bookcase and the hunter being chased by a tiger rug.
