Budget is always the issue, yes, heh. I'll be like..."Oooh...undead gunslinger zombie! Ooooh....pop up ghoul figure!", but then not have the money to go all out and buy like large scale, motion figures...so I do the best indeed with what I can and buy for theme heh. Thank you for the kind words, there is a slight chance I will be signifigantly recieving aid in this year's set up, as far as supplies....but not a sure thing yet. We will see what happens, as of right now it's just me and recreation money as I enjoy having the set up

I will of course be posting photos/progress updates as the special month approaches and things are purchased/go up. I'd estimate I've spent 400 dollars or so on this season already, for odds and ends.

I miss not decorating for Halloween. It is not widely celebrated in Korea (but I'm doing my best to help it spread!)
I put a few things up at my school, but I have to be tame.
I'd decorate my apartment, but it scares the wife.
One thing I've noticed is that I get more comments from my home-made props than my store-bought ones. Often they are quite cheap, or are made from recycled props and costumes. Dollar stores and thrift stores come in really handy. As do garage sales.
I'd love to have a large budget, but it's amazing with what you can do with just a few bucks and a lot of salvaged items.
For example, If you put a bit of ribbon or beads and some cheap skulls on you black wreath, it will really stand out.
A scroll reading "Mento mori" (or words to that effect) adds that little bit extra.
However, even if you add nothing more to your display it still rocks!
I noticed the Curios sign. You could add jars of strange things and brick-a-brack. You could add to it or change them yearly.
I look forward to seeing more pictures.

Thanks for the kind words! Indeed, I hear you about the homemade stuff, sadly not got much building talent overall heh, at least not for spooky things. I just try and make best selection of props that actually work together and compliment each other, and place them well. Realism, if you can call it that, and detail are my key words. That is too bad about it not being big in Korea, but understandable...and yeah, for school, tameness is pretty much required sadly heh. The skull thing is a pretty good idea, I know where they have some little skulls too...and you'll definitely be seeing more photos heh. I have been buying actually some smaller items, potion bottles, things like that, that will go in cabinets/window frames on the fence that will open, with little displays of junk and spooky things inside for this year.
