I can't tell you how much fun I have hanging out with this group of people. Because of this site, I have friends all over this country. Good enough friends that I've planned more than one vacation around hanging out with fellow doombugs, and have had doombugs come out to my neck of the woods as well. I'm sure you'll be glad you kept the ticket yourself. I think it's fitting that the ebay seller has dog in his name, because he's made himself part of the problem instead of making sure the ticket went to someone who went through the process instead of the person with the deepest pockets. I kills me that so many awsome people on this board (and I know alot of them in person and they are awsome) that really deserve to go didn't get tix, when he did.

Obviously Didn't Turn Back Posts: 2071 (02/02/09 11:16:42) Wall-to-Wall Creep Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I feel the same way, MissLeota, however Disney Event Services seems to have set this up in such a way that, while accomodating peoples' desire to be able to change names--which has been requested in the past and is good for most of us if something comes up and we can't make it and don't want to lose our money--it also provides a loophole that enables people to avoid the "registrations being non-transferable." And that has created this situation where someone can sell his registration online. In other words, its an unintended consequence of Event Services reacting to past guest feedback. Combining that with the mess of registration, it's easy to see how hard feelings could be generated. I'm sure Event Services is extremely unhappy to see a package sold for profit on eBay. It probably won't be the last one, either.

Think about it. The event is 7 months away and by the time you get to the event and find out if the name and address where really changed to yours, you can't even leave feedback. Can you imagine spending more than twice the face value for tix, only to find out they don't have your name on their list at the event? What could you do? Especially if a trip was planned around it............

Caveat Emptor! If the buyer doesn't do that, it's his own fault if things don't work out.

Ballroom Dancer Posts: 64 (02/02/09 12:11:33) Foolish Mortal Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	here's the problem I have with the sale - the seller can change it to the buyer's name and all that but the seller still has your info along with the confirmation # so couldn't he/she easily call event services and change the name again before the event - what's to stop them? - if I was the buyer I would ask for the seller's info and the confirmation # and as the buyer I would change the info with event services that way the seller doesn't know the new name with the ticket and I would make sure that the name it's being changed to isn't the same as my buyer info on ebay I agree with Genii this probably won't be the last one - as probably most people would rather make a small profit on the whole mess rather than cancel through event services or brighten a fellow doombug's day unfortunately

If I had been lucky enough to recieve an extra Hitchhiker package, I'd be handing it over to someone who needed it. As it is, I'm short one ticket.

In other words, if someone is returning two tickets, then those will be offered separately to the next two people at the top of the list. I don't think anyone on the list is going to be offered multiple tickets because the demand is so great and the waiting list is full.

But they took a sledgehammer to the problem and overcompensated by not allowing anyone to register more than a single person (when it's abundantly evident that many couples wanted to come and got only one ticket). Jester, how do you know you won't be getting another cup at this event?

He was already working on a design and he was not sure if anyone else was. I don't know why I love Disney artist watches so much. Most of them are still in their boxes in the closet.
