It can be concievable that one can get a 1 of a kind item on the second RSP selection as the prices would drive most away. No way for a scalper to recover from
these prices. Whoever gets them better realllly want it as it will probably decrease in value once drivin off the lot. Remember the outrageous prices the HHB
live auction brought in?
Nice job on the chess set. I can see this being resold by the piece. |

The edition 1 door is $5800!!!! Holy crap. That is a bit pricey, isn't it. I didn't realize all the "electronics" that were encased in it. And (WOW!!!) 2 feet high x 10 inches wide and 6 inches deep- that's mighty huge.

Well nice to see some updates. I really like the Avanzino piece, I will order the jacket for $ 150, Still like shoes, Pocket watch is nice, Griffins lower
number they may be tough to get, I still like the old 13 hours clock better, Pin sets are still LE 1 so forget that, over alll more items for more people makes
sense to me. Now who received the extra tickets? When will they post pics of the "Gifts"

Gosh. Everything looks awesome.
I have to say, I am not sure why they changed the bookends from the original design. Maybe for functionality. But I wish the front arms were present. Maybe it's too early to judge. The clock looks INCREDIBLE, but its only 24 inches high, right? I wish one year they would do one that is to scale. I mean. It looks like a pretty simple design to mold. And clock parts are super cheap. Hmmm.... Pocketwatch looks to be very cool... |

I think I'll just aim for one thing - the bookends. Already have a clock from an HHE a few years back, ticking away in my living room.

A $5800 Door | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I absolutely love the creativity behind the door piece. Part sculpture, part diorama, all brilliant illusion. At $5800, a little beyond my budget, unless it
was the only thing I was walking away from the event with. Still, classic WED illusioneering, amazingly cool.
I have to wonder what the full-sized illusion cost to build and install in 1969. Maybe this price is based in reimbursing the company for that expense... JB |

The door makes the $3000.00 bust seem like a bargain.

Before there were going to be two busts, and the edition sizes hadn't been announced. I would have expected at least two of each, four all together. Now
there is just one bust for $3000. There are going to be a lot of unhappy folks when the RSP results are announced.

I also just read that the door replica no longer has the endless hallway candelabra, instead it has this:
"Turning the door knob activates the ticking of the hallway clock along with its haunting chime. If you look through the keyhole you can see the clocks swinging pendulum and backwards spinning hands, while the ghostly shadow of a boney claw passes slowly by. this amazing illusion is accomplished through hidden mirrors and the magic of Disney. Keeping to true WED tradition , this is not a video playback, but an all mechanical effect. The clock itself is only 2" tall and is mounted deep inside the lower casework." |

That would explain the picture. I guess the clock makes more sense than the endless hallway since it is closer to the corridor of doors but I think the endless
hallway would have been more unique and cooler.
I think that they are still working on the bookends and the arms will be added on. |

I hope so, it doesn't look right without the arms.

It's an unfinished sculpt! But I wouldn't be surprised if they did it without the arms considering the problems they've had in the past with
breakage when things are shipped.

I'm a little frustrated that the edition size of the plates has been lowered and the charm bracelet is so expensive. I wish they would provide some kind of
sizing guide for the jacket.

Event Services should be able to give you some information about the jacket: as ordering time comes near, they may publish further information.

April/December999, you and I must be psychically connected...lol.
I spoke with a few fellow Doombugs about his very subject about a week ago. I called Ebay and a few other places in CA and Ill, and the advice I received was sketchy as to what the law is when selling a ticket to an event in another state then the seller resides in. Also, the fact they are being offered on-line and not in person, might change the rules too. Does anyone know? |

I am surprised the beautiful Chess Set, item #66 is so expensive at $2,000, with such a high edition number of 40. While item #54, Haunted Mansion Tabletop Clock, also an edition of 40 is $295, and item #65, Haunted Mansion Serpant Door Handle Walking Stick, is an edition of 40 as well, and it too costs $295. I would rather go for those because of the large price difference and the same edition numbers. I know the Chess Set is very intricate and requires probably much more work, cost and materials, but the edtion number of 40 seems very high for an item that costs so much. I do love it though. Most of the merchandise is beautiful, and the artists deserve alot of credit. Some very nice interpretations of the Mansion, the characters, and the style of the attraction. I'm not feeling a few of the pins though. A few of the female characters remind me to much of the animation style of Beauty and the Beast's, Belle. Beautiful of course, but not quite right. That one pin with the collagen lips is weird, and looks nothing like the character it is supposed to represent. |
