I definitely don't understand the chess set doubling in price with that edition size. $1,000 was already too much.
If they sell 40 of them, that's $80,000 they'll be pulling on the chest set alone. Will 40 actually sell? Who knows. |

It's highly unlikely they'll sell 40 at $2000 each, particularly in this economy.

Could someone PLEASE try to get me the bookends!!!!! I REALLY NEED THEM!! I may be sounding pretty pathetic, but I have a bookcase in my room that has only ONE
shelf of HM stuff and the rest are just books, I NEED something HM to put there, and what better thing to put on a bookshelf that bookends? So Can some
sympathetic Mortal, or Ghost for that matter, Try to get me them?
 Just shoot me a message, please, I will pay for them (Just in case someone thought I
wanted them for free, which I would, but really, who would want to give them to me for free!).

Shipping Guidelines & Fees
Guests may ship merchandise awarded via the Random Selection Process based on the
following fee schedule:
* Item #1 thru #44 and Special Order items, only - please use the following
fee schedule. All items will ship together.
Domestic & Canada:
* up to $500....................$35
* $500.01 - $1000.............$51
* over $1000....................$91
**Item #45 thru #67 - this merchandise will ship individually according to the
fee listed below for each. Please note: some items may not be shipped and are hand carry only.
** #45 thru #53.............$35 (up to 2 pieces)

Shipping fees are determined by 2nd Day Air rates charged to Disneyland® Resort by selected
carriers, in conjunction with one or more of the following:
Package size ~ weight ~ fragility ~ total merchandise value
Quoted shipping fees are for each individual Guests' purchases awarded via the Random Selection Process. Families or persons sharing the same address
cannot ship awarded RSP product together, add purchases from other Resort merchandise locations or add event amenities to the shipment. Large items must be
shipped individually according to the fee schedule above, no exceptions.
CA state sales tax of 7.75% will be applied to all merchandise shipped within California, to Florida and on all international shipments. International
shipping fees will be available after the Random Selection Process has been completed.
Duties and taxes imposed by individual countries are the responsibility of the recipient and must be paid C.O.D.
Merchandise will be shipped from the Disneyland® Resort beginning Wednesday, September 23, 2009.

After the $100 my sis paid to ship $300 worth of goodies with the post office last year the prices don't seem too high.
Also MG13 I hate to burst your bubble but the bookends don't have a high edition size. You would need to find someone who didn't want much for his or her self, or who is willing to put your bookends before his or her own wants. I promise anyone who puts the bookends as item #12 on their list won't get them. Who knows maybe someone who fits your need is on this board, but probably not.

At least for items 1-44, all orders will ship together. Still though, unless one's order is hefty, the rates still seem rather high.

Disney has never been reluctant to charge a lot for postage. There was a policy in Disneyland for years where your postage was based solely on the retail price
for an item, not the weight, It was insanity.
These prices are indeed expensive, but postage prices are expensive now, and they're going up again prior to this event. The larger, more fragile items that need the greatest amount of packing and the highest insurance also have the highest postage. Also, it appears Disney is wanting to build a little profit into the postage amounts as well. Yeah, that sucks, but you shouldn't expect anything else from a large corporation that is losing money these days. I really don't know much about pins... but I am curious... These HM pins that are LE 1 and come with the original art... does that mean that they will NEVER release another copy of these pins? Or does the LE# only apply to the first/original with the artwork included? |

That item is kind of misleading in the description, with a LE of only 1.

If we could go back to the shipping issues for a second, this is my first merchandise event and I'm a little confused. Do we get our goodies when we go to
the event and then can we take them with us? Or do we turn in our RSP and then the stuff is sent to us. Sorry if this is a silly question!
