Yeah, flat soles--I mean lack of arch supports. I wear Merrills every day and my feet are happy as can be.

Vans are actually a bit more comfertable, compared to Chucks. I wish the shoes were Vans slip ons. They would have been great.

I stopped wearing Vans and Chucks a long time ago because of the lack of arch support, but I'm more than happy to pay twenty bucks for some decent inserts
so I can wear these.

I'm in the same arch boat as it seems everyone else. I've seen a lot of basketball players who've wore them though, were they constructed differently? Anyway.... I'll still be getting a pair as well. |

Just a heads up for those who are going to be staying several nights during the 40th. Disneyland just started a new promo where you get 5 nights with tickets
and only pay for 3 nights/tickets for stays through 9/26 at a Disneyland resort hotel or a good neighbor hotel. Also if you are Annual Passholder you can also
book the deal with no tickets.
Here's the details from the disneyland.com website: Get 2 More Nights FREE With a 3-Night Hotel and Ticket Package Extend your family's vacation with two more days and nights FREE* when you purchase a three-night hotel and three-day ticket package: Stay at a Disneyland® Resort Hotel or participating Good Neighbor Hotel, and buy 3-Day Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Tickets to qualify! Valid for arrivals from April 1 to September 26 with travel completed by October 1. You must book by August 11. Offer is valid for bookings from March 24, 2009, through August 11, 2009, and for arrivals from April 1, 2009, through September 26, 2009, at a Disneyland® Resort Hotel and for arrivals from May 1, 2009, through September 26, 2009, at a Disneyland® Resort Good Neighbor Hotel. Travel must be completed by October 1, 2009. Upon the purchase of a 3-night package, with 3-Day Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Tickets, at a participating hotel, two (2) consecutive free nights will be added to the hotel stay and two (2) consecutive days added to the ticket. Hotel and ticket package rates start at $1,132 for Disneyland® Resort Good Neighbor Hotels for a family of four (2 adults, 1 junior aged 10 to 17 and 1 child aged 3 to 9) for a standard room at the Jolly Roger Inn and start at $1,738 for Disneyland® Resort Hotels for a family of four (2 adults, 1 junior aged 10 to 17 and 1 child aged 3 to 9) for a standard room at Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel. Limited to two (2) free nights per package / reservation and not valid for previously booked rooms. Check for offers associated with longer night stays. Must stay for all consecutive nights at the non-discounted rate; no early checkout. These Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Tickets expire 13 days after first use or October 13, 2009, whichever occurs first, and each day of use of a ticket constitutes one full day of use. Tickets may not be sold or transferred for commercial purposes. Offer subject to availability, advance reservations required. Not valid with any other hotel discount or promotion. |

That's great for folks with no Premium Annual Pass (the people who dole out their money first, and are the biggest supporters) and Disney Vacation Club
members (again, the folks who dole out big bucks in advance).

If you already have an annual pass they remove the ticket price from the package so you are just paying for the hotel and no tickets - so it's a great deal
for annual passholders as well
For example this is what they quoted me for the Grand Californian with no tickets since I already have an annual pass: Sept 7 - 13: $1,584 under the promo Sept 7 - 13: $2,174 with my annual pass discount rate Sept 7 -12: $1,196 under the promo Sept 7 - 12: $1,484 with my annual pass discount rate So the stay at least 3 nights but get 5 deal is the better rate |

I don't care much for these shoes overall, actually. If they make other people happy though, I am not judging.

Do you think the buy 3 get 2 hotel deal with apply in conjunction with the night included in the HM 40th package? Will that count as 1 purchased night?

ricky wrote:I actually asked them since I have the GG package but they would have to do 2 separate reservations and it all has to be consecutive nights for the promo so in short the answer I got was no. So for me I have 2 rooms for the 9th but even still it was much cheaper booking 5 nights (Sept 7 - 12) than it was the 4 nights individually (Sept 7, 8 10 & 11)

DisneyDogs, if you have an extra hotel for 1 night you should look for a buyer here for the extra room. I've got my room but I'm sure there are people
here who would be interested.

I am looking for a HH (HitchHikers) package, if anyone has one to sell. Actually... I DO NOT need the RSP or other "parting gifts" for it, just the ability for a friend to attend with me.
Thanks, Gus

A last reminder for everyone that tomorrow (March 31) is the last day to order your Mansion sneakers on the RSP!

It also gives you a chance to contemplate the merchandise, see how much money you can really get together over a period of months, and then SPEND IT VERY
QUICKLY!
