Taking my boy to Disney for his 11th Birthday, who else will be there? Any chance of a backstage tour at HM?

Captain, I'll be in the park all week. I'm taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour on the 3rd. Sadly, I don't have any control on special backstage
tours... but does anyone else here like to escort us both? |

This will actually be our first trip back to the mansion since before it was updated.

Actually, we happen to be going that day. Probably to at least a couple of parks. I have a pass to use up. We go so rarely these days.

I'll be in ToonTown that day from 9:30 - 15:30.

Well, if you should see a tall guy with brown/gray goatee in a worn Indy fedora and an extremely happy 11 yo boy, say Hi, it might just be me

You need to get Celebrate Buttons with a birthday one for your son (whats his name BTW?) and one for you saying you're celebrating his Birthday. That will
give me a hint. Or, just come up to any ToonTown attractions Cast Member (stationed at Mickeys House, Barnstormer Entrance, Barnstormer grouper, Barn Lapbars
or Barn Panel and ask about Doombuggies. That will give you away.
If I see you, and you guys are intending to see Mickey, I'll take you back to avoid the line. |

That would be cool GRD. His name is James, and he is a bit too "Sophisticated" for Toon town and Mickey, but we'll swing by

Since our latest thing is "Celebrate Today", the Celebrate Buttons are these free buttons you can get at City Hall and most merchandise locations.
There are ones for Birthday, First Visit, I'm Celebrating..., Family Reunion, Just Engaged, Just Married, Happily Ever After.
Each one is customizable and... FREEEEEE!!!!!! Too Sophisticated for ToonTown and Mickey?! There's something wrong with that boy... But either way, stop on by, I'm sure I can wrangle something neat for you. |

He's turning 11, I'm just lucky he still thinks I'm cool.

And you're still lucky that he lets you think that. LOL

Where the heck were ya? I had a few neat little things to give to you to make the day a little more fun, but alas, no Capt. Quirk and son.

I am really sorry about that too. The boy wanted to start off in Adventureland, and I figured we would have enough time to make it over to toon town. But when
you start off the day losing a Grandkid, it tends to really throw you off. She was there one minute, not there the next. I also have to say, the CM at
Aladdin's Carpets was far less than helpful or concerned. I mean, when you tell somebody you are missing a 2 yo girl, anything besides a blank stare and
some "ummm's" would be nice. He had a walkie talkie on his belt, I figured he probably should have used it, ya know? I was even doing my best to
be patient as he took his time telling a woman where to park her stroller... two or three times. Not the best day in the park by far. We should have started
off in Toon Town and left.

I can't believe I forgot to share our first re-mansion experience with y'all! It was a bad day, extremely nasty weather from late morning on, so we
were soaked by the time we got to it. But on the other side of the coin, the line was very short, and we only waited maybe 5 minutes. We didn't stick
around to listen to the "Get out!", or see if the gargoyles... spit? The ride went 101 in front of coffin guy for a few minutes, and went smoothly
after that. Afterwards, as we were leaving, I saw the chicken door open. So of course, we poked our heads in. The CM told us to move along... unless we wanted
to ride again, in which case, go through the hall. After the second ride, it stopped raining almost long enough to have a smoke and get to the next attraction.
Now, my opinions... it was pretty awesome! The outside queue has changed a little, and the one thing that really caught my eye was Leota's Headstone. Nice The Ballroom seemed to have a few new touches, like the hearse... or was that also there before? Either way, the "unofficial" Hidden Mickey was there, and the whole scene looked cleaner. The attic I have mixed emotions about. The little touches were cool, but there was way too much stuff. I miss the pop ups, and am still undecided about Constance. The effect is kinda cool, but the rest of her appearance didn't scare me much. Now, the graveyard was fantastic! It again seems as though it was completely rearranged, but the old favorites are still there. Outside, the presence of the old Bride's ring is felt, even though it is no longer there. So overall, it is still my favorite attraction. |

We never made it back there, GRD. I was going to look for a name tag with your name on it if we did. We did AC, EC & MK in one day, and the weather was
bad for most of MK, so that made a bit more difficult.
