He's turning 11, I'm just lucky he still thinks I'm cool.

I can't believe I forgot to share our first re-mansion experience with y'all! It was a bad day, extremely nasty weather from late morning on, so we were soaked by the time we got to it. But on the other side of the coin, the line was very short, and we only waited maybe 5 minutes. We didn't stick around to listen to the "Get out!", or see if the gargoyles... spit? The ride went 101 in front of coffin guy for a few minutes, and went smoothly after that. Afterwards, as we were leaving, I saw the chicken door open. So of course, we poked our heads in. The CM told us to move along... unless we wanted to ride again, in which case, go through the hall. After the second ride, it stopped raining almost long enough to have a smoke and get to the next attraction.

Now, my opinions... it was pretty awesome! The outside queue has changed a little, and the one thing that really caught my eye was Leota's Headstone. Nice Of course, I try to point it out, and nobody looks until she stopped looking around. "Ok, what are we supposed to be seeing?" The Stretch room looked great, it was too loud to be able to appreciate the floating voice effect, but the corpse showed great.. After that, it was one new thing after another, and it was almost like a completely different mansion now. The Eischer stairs didn't impress me nearly as much as the glowing eyes. The new portraits in the COD were a nice touch, but I think I liked my Leota not floating. Was that ectoplasm behind her always there?

The Ballroom seemed to have a few new touches, like the hearse... or was that also there before? Either way, the "unofficial" Hidden Mickey was there, and the whole scene looked cleaner. The attic I have mixed emotions about. The little touches were cool, but there was way too much stuff. I miss the pop ups, and am still undecided about Constance. The effect is kinda cool, but the rest of her appearance didn't scare me much. Now, the graveyard was fantastic! It again seems as though it was completely rearranged, but the old favorites are still there. Outside, the presence of the old Bride's ring is felt, even though it is no longer there. So overall, it is still my favorite attraction.
