Foolish Mortal Posts: 2 (06/29/09 04:33:01) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None FYI - Don, the Webmaster over on the WDCC Duckman Website (the premier website for WDCC collecting) has a current pole up about WDCC doing a series of HM sculptures similar to what they did for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride two years ago. This is the premier WDCC site and the management team (from both Disney and Enesco) who produce the WDCC line regularly read his site, his polls and his bog. This is our opportunity to let Disney know what we'd like to see in term terms of additional WDCC Haunted Mansion sculptures. This is where fans have been listing what other WDCC Haunted Mansion pieces they'd like to see. The poll is over on the right hand side of the page.

Im sure quiete a few of those are people buying multiples to later sell on ebay. I cant understand why Dsiney just doesnt make these figure open edition. They would still sell quickly and give more HM fans an opportunity to get them. The Jim Shore piece is open, why can t they make the coffin and WDCC organist the same way. Im just about to give up collecting HM stuff...too much aggravation

I wish Disney would at least make the LE editions a bit larger if not open edition so that more fans could get what they want. It can be so frustrating. Disney would make more money and the HM fans would be a lot happier collectors. For example, when I was at DLR on July 11th, the day before the LE50 Marcasite pins were released, I overheard a woman who had been in a 1:00pm line already ask a Disney security employee to please let them stay in their recently formed line so that a riot wouldn't ensue to get the 50 wristbands!

As far as other HM WDCC pieces I would love to see: A re-release of the HHG The caretaker and his dog Madame Leota on her table The executioner and Knight The original bride The opera singers the five singing busts or the two hallway busts The hatbox ghost and finally, a 3 dimensional representation of any of the stretching portraits ie: the widow on the gravestone or the man on the dynamite keg.

Wish I'd kept them.

I only collect stuff that I like, but not with the intent of future value, editon size, etc. I dont understand why Disney wouldnt re-release the WDCC HHG. I DO understand that the market value of the original editons would diminish, but how would that affect Disney at all? On the contrary, since they dont sell it anymore, they would actually be making more money if they brought the peices out again and a new set of collectors would buy them. Again, Im sorry if Im mising something, as I truly dont know much about collecting. But I was just pondering this question and Im very curious as to how all this works and what's in it for Disney if those already sold pieces are of higher value, etc. Thanks!

A friend of mine told me to get my name on this list late last winter, but I didn't think about it until I was talking to Elaine (the manager there) in June. She put my name on the list, but it was pretty full at that time. Apparently each Gallery store has a list, and some people put their name on every list. That doesn't mean that they want to buy four or five, they want one and want to increase their chances.

With them now doing the Haunted Mansion pieces here's hopping for a new designed set of them anyway. For example if you look at the WDCC Snow White pieces I think they are up to 3 or 4 sets now of her and the dwarfs, there have been several Cinderella's and other characters repeated as well. When I talked to the manager at the Art of Disney at Hollywood Studios she mentioned to me there would be at least 4 new pieces in the Haunted Mansion set which the Organist is one. She didn't know what the other pieces would be (or if she did she wouldn't tell me!)

Im DYING to find out what other HM WDCC pieces they are planning to come ut with!
