If the exit of the ride gave you a choice of entering the spooky themed area, or renetering the main park, they could even include an effect warning people of such trully frightening things as Winnie the Pooh or "Small World" if they choose the wrong path.

Well, yes, but I wanted to think like a Disney exec, and consider that the visitors to the park would have TWO chances to buy stuff at the various stores, all dealing with Goth/Haunted Mansion/Nightmare before Christmas, that sort of thing. Perhaps they would be in  a hurry to visit the mansion, and, upon exiting, become confused, after having the scare of their afterlife, and then they would take the wrong path, exit the "Halloween Town" (Boy, I really like that name!) and then decide that they would just come back after a while, and then forget about it, in leau of visiting the new "Star Tours" and rides like that!
In this senario, the visitor walks thru the shop area, looking at stuff that they will be excited to buy, and then, once exiting the mansion, they simply MUST have some items that they saw on the ride! Such as life sized copies of the actual tombstones in the graveyard, with "Master Gracey" on it, or the tombstone dedicated to "X". These items, along with ones that have been sold before, will be available for all guests to enjoy, and they would be available in unlimited quanities, not limited to a run of 999, or something like that! I would want EVERYONE to get what they have always wanted, and just cannot live without!!!!
