Constance is driven by story, not atmosphere which depletes the attic of it's terrifying aspects. I've always disliked the idea of Constance- it's convoluted to the storyline of the Haunted Mansion and the effects are all recycled. Now there has been no official storyline in how the Mansion came to be, but my issue with it is it's a stand alone story intruding the overall story where before it was a dark mystery that fans take joy in deciphering. And even worse, the story indicates itself that she is the owner of the Mansion...LAME.

My two cents...

The enhancements to the attic should revive the shock value and making Constance more terrifying. My proposal would be to borrow the props used for the Dementor scenes to which the attic is almost entirely dark and the thing that alerts you you're not alone is the growing heartbeat and the faint voice of Constance. Constance will once again be a animatronic but with much more life than ever because she will be attached to the Kuka arm. When saying her verse she "pops out" in random spots in the attack and "swings her axe" at the buggy before bleeding back into the darkness. The effect incorporate the intensity of the Dementor scene with the creepiness of the old-school Haunted Mansion that still retains the Constance theme. The figure itself again, is a animatronic attach to the Kuka arm that merges with the projection used now. And if you been on the Forbidden Journey ride in WWoHP, you know how scary close they get.

A example of what I want Constance to look like:

At the end of the attic, the Hatbox Ghost pleads farewell as he holds up his hatbox. With every heartbeat a head is shown...YOUR HEAD. This effect I've seen used on other events in which a camera takes your picture (no flash) and modify it to fit the mold of the head (like Leota) I think it would be so awesome and fits the theme perfectly.

As for the pictures...I rather they convert the effect to which when the buggie pass them they change "before your eyes" rather than sync with the axe swing. I think it would be a lot more effective.
