I want to say in advance, "Forgive me, Haunted Hearse."

Based on the clues given at WDW's Haunted Mansion (1971-2010, before the queue), I've put together a possible account of some of the mansion's most recent living residents.

Some of the stuff I'm kinda iffy about, like when George died (did they stay married awhile or was he killed on the wedding night?) and how Master Gracey could be connected. I didn't bother to incorporate Leota, Ghost Host, Hatbox, etc.

Some of this - like the mansion's location - isn't applicable to the DL mansion (and Pepe le Queue was not considered)...

CONSTANCE, GEORGE, AND MASTER GRACEY

The Gastley Mansion in New York was supposedly built on "sacred indian burial ground," so it had always been rumored to be cursed.

Constance Hatchaway was born in California and lived there for most of her youth.
That's where she met all five husbands, including millionaire George Hightower - who at the time owned the Gastley Mansion.

The presumably haunted mansion had a bloody history, and seemed to be a magnet to unscrupulous people and acts of horrific violence.
George had purchased the house because of his interest in the supernatural.
An interest in the supernatural would years later cause the downfall of Harrison Hightower III, a relative of George.

George and Constance married in 1877, and she either took a liking to him... or considered the risk involved with killing yet another husband.
They moved into the mansion together in NY and stayed married... until she was finally fed up.
They even had a son, Gracey.
Living in the house. they became accustomed to strange and frightening things.
The supernatural became the mundane.
When Gracey grew up (and after Constance killed George) he became the new master of the mansion.

Gracey eventually died of natural causes in his 90s.
The butlers and maids (Cast Members) were his servants.
We see that Master Gracey is the most recent person to be buried - there's a fresh mound of dirt.
Therefore, the attraction takes place some time between the mid-1960s to 1971.
