Have I mentioned that I was touching everything I could reach with both hands, and NO ONE FELT A NEED TO STOP ME? One of the biggest shocks for me was that the dust that looks so carefully placed and fragile and "do not disturb"-able, is actually like rubber cement and sticky as heck. Like on the armor, the big candlesticks next to it, the sinister portrait frames, etc.

I have to wonder if they stopped the tour where they did because with the lights on to make it safe to walk through, it would obscure all view with the scrims in the graveyard, so we would have been walking by a fabric wall and seeing basically nothing.

I am honored that I got to go on the very first public backstage tour of the mansion, and now that they have done this event successfully, maybe if we all end up there next Halloween, we can do a private party of our own........:D
