I totally agree with you... there are some little things that could have made it a lot better.

I agree as well, Tabby -- I think we’re already on the way to organizing something better suited & more tailored to OUR group for 2003 Halloween (or whenever the official Disney shindig happens, & whatever it turns out to be this year).

All we need is official word of what they’re gonna do so that we can start to lay the real groundwork for what WE wanna do around it.

Like maybe all the castmembers dressed up like ghosts attending a ball. Or a real scavenger hunt (not just trivia questions) and the pin dig... it should have be us digging into sand or something to find a cool Haunted Mansion related pin... not just grabbing some leftover pin from a caldron. And I don't think we should have had a boring picture with no back drop in it for free and then pay for pictures in the doombuggy. I guess I just had it a lot grander (and more organized) in my head than it turned out to be.

Agreed again, 100%.
Personally, I plan to be there in the time frame, but I don’t even know if I’ll go to the official Disney thing unless it looks like it’s shaping up to be MUCH better planned & executed than the 2002 Happy Haunt Ball.

It’s becoming a broken record thing, but I enjoyed the stuff we did on our own more than the stuff that they “planned” for us.
They can provide the setting & the facilities, but speaking for myself, I don’t know that I NEED their itinerary. I think we can (& WILL) do better making our own ideas happen than we will by trying to conform to theirs.
