I think some of the changes will be interesting, but I'm extremely glad that they are leaving a majority of the scenes intact. Reading the article, it sounds like the Sparrow animatronics won't be interfering with the action in the scenes.
Although, it will be sad to see the Wicked Wench changed; replace the Pirate Captain with Barbossa; and hear "Dead Men Tell No Tales" spoken by Davy Jones and not by Paul Frees's ghostly voice.
I also have to agree with what GRD said about the opening music. I love George Bruns's music for the attraction, especially the overture with the oboe, brass, woodwinds, and organ. If you listen to that piece of music, it sort of captures the whole nature of the ride: the dramatic brass in the beginning (reflecting the skeleton caverns); the peaceful and exotic oboe solo (the bayou and the grottos); and at the end the fun-loving souding piccolo with the brass. I personally think it would be a lot better if they left that piece of music intact instead of replacing it with music from the movie.
