They have a ride JUST like this one at Lake Compounce in Conneticut, only its called Ghost Hunt.
Jemima,

Ghost Hunt in LC is Ghost Blasters, just under a different name. I've been on it a few times; I live about an hour away from Lake Compounce. I remember that the lines were always really long because of low capacity (think Buzz Lightyear cars, only not Omnimover.) After loading you practice with a few targets in the loading area, and then venture into the house. First you go through a short graveyard, and then through a bunch of different rooms in the house. At the end you battle Boocifer. During the 2007-2008 off-season, it received a refurb. New higher-capacity four-person cars replaced the two-person Ghost battling vehicles. These new cars are plain blue with a Lake Compounce logo. Also, the first door into the graveyard has been removed, so suspense is lost a little. It seems all the doors but the last one are gone, maybe because of some new laser-guided track system. New scenes were added though. There was a part where your car peeks out on a balcony of the house. The balconies have been covered up and now you go through a room of mirrors and lasers. Now, I've only ridden the new one once, about two weeks after it re-opened. Some things might have changed.

Sally Corp. came out with Ghost Blasters II a few years ago, and that debuted in Elitch Gardens.

It's a nice ride. I certainly appreciate it more than laugh-in-the-dark-with-black-lights-and-eighties-effects dark rides. I just wish amusement parks would realize that they can have dark rides without having a gimmick like the shooting gallery.
