As much as I hate to admit it, it is understandable that Disney made the PC changes for the ride. I love the original ride, but it did have some serious sexual overtones that I can now see weren't appropriate for all (now that I have a little girl). Case in point: The original fat pirate with the girl's slip who is in the barrel - She is hiding in the barrel with a worried face on, so obviously she isn't into his proposals. He offers to "share" her if riders find her first. Now, come on, that's implied group sexual violence. Is it authentic to how life was in the time of pirates? Probably, Yes. Appropriate for 7 year old girls on vacation? Probably not.

There is far too much Jack Sparrow, though. I will agree to that! :

Buccaneer I lived, Pirate I died.
