The point of what I posted was NOT that the Imagineers said, "Hey you know that painting by Edward Hopper?
Let's build a replica at Disney Paris!"  The third Ward School house was probably the reason second empire
was chosen, because there was perfect justification for the architecture chosen for the spooky old house
looming over the western town.  That being said, and I'll admit that the ones you chose do bear a certain
resemblance to Phantom Manor, Edwards Hoppers house looks closet, and his house in the painting certainly
looks more like the house in the Edward Hopper Painting, then the house that they say inspired Hopper.

What is undeniable is that the Painting is famous, it has represented to a great deal of the world an American
Victorian House, and I'm certain Tony Baxter and the other designers at WED, would have been aware of it.
Plus, it is a lot closer in appearance to Phantom Manor, then many of the examples you illustrated.  It certainly
looks a lot more like Phantom Manor which most people seem to think it looks exactly like the Bates house from
Psycho.  The point is, I never claimed that Phantom Manor WAS based on Hopper's painting, I was only mentioning
Hopper's painting as a possible inspiration for the ride facade (my personal favorite, by the way), and I was just
mentioning the actual house, which was supposed to have inspired Hopper.
