Have been ever since I was a kid and first saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and Beetlejuice. Ever since then I have followed his career and enjoyed all his works. While some I like more than others, I can honestly say I enjoyed all his films, which is something you can't say for all directors. I collect all the books I can find on him, both books on his film and different bios (I even have one in German). I love his art style, his sketches are just beautiful. I think my favorite films of his are Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood and Sleepy Hollow. I also love the short film Vincent. I'm also a big fan of his Oyster Boy book of poetry and the Stain Boy shorts that were done a few years ago. I thought it might be fun to have a thread to talk about Burton, so, what is your favorite Burton movie and what are your thoughts on him?

However my favorite film of his is Nightmare Before Christmas. After that, Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride, and Sleepy Hollow. Can't wait to see Sweeney Todd and Alice in Wonderland

I've only seen a bit of Corpse Bride, but the bit that I saw was good. Edward Scissorhands probably would have been better if I wasn't in a classroom full of Johnny Depp fans. And I agree with pathsofdarkness, I can't wait for Alice in Wonderland.

I was totally blown away with how dark and edgy that film as comparing only at that time to Adam West's campy (but still good in its own way) version from the TV screen. It's truly a shame that he wasn't allowed to continue with his darker vision of Gotham, but nice that it kinda rolled into the animated series (if nothing else than using the same score)

I would have to say my favorite Tim movie is Sweeney Todd. The ambiance, the music, the colors, I loved it! A close second is Ed Wood, as I love the old black and white spookers and I think he really grabbed the mood. Third would be Sleepy Hollow, but I think he could have done a much better job on that one than he did. My least favorite would be Planet of the Apes. Did anyone buy the newest releases of Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice? I picked them up and love em. Last week in Disney I focused my pin buying on Nightmare Before Christmas ones, which was a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing Burton's Alice in Wonderland, which they are now filming, and the feature film version of Frankenweenie. Yeah, as you can tell, I am a huge Burton fan.

Nightmare was what I fell in love with after that and then the list goes on (in no particular order) Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Sleepy Hollow, and so on and the latest edition, Sweeney Todd Isn't he doing Alice in Wonderland soon too?

"PeeWee's Big adventure", was the film that got Burton noticed. How important Burton was to that movie could clearly be seen by what a lesser film "Bigtop PeeWee" was.
