Did anyone go to the National Fantasy Fan Club's sale in Anaheim yesterday? I found some cool HM pins I didn't have, including the quickly sold out
"billboard" pin that was released on Sat. I paid $35.00 for it which is not too bad considering some of the prices I've seen on Ebay already!
Only one dealer at NFFC even had one to sell! Otherwise you had to pay $70.00 for the whole set, which DLR still had some or $100.00 at NFFC. I also found some
interesting japanese promo items for the HM movie. I bought a beautiful keyring with a pendant on it from the film for $7.00. They also had a japanese promo
pictorial booklet from the film. And WDI's store, which is there every year, had 2 new HM t-shirts for sale. One was a light tan color with an early
concept art drawing of the HM on the front only and a black shirt with the famous Marc Davis concept art painting of the HHG and a little paragraph reading
something like, Climb aboard your doombuggy to meet our 999 happy haunts... and a few other words I can't remember off hand. But the black shirt is the
better of the two I think, so I bought one of those. They also had a black woman's tank top with the same Davis artwork and words. For those who
haven't been to one of these sales, I highly recommend them. You just never know what HM items you'll come across as many of the items sold are from
the dealer's or their children's personal collections as I found out one year. And you can find some low prices too!
