Although the rest of the park is lousy (with the exception of a few coasters), I really enjoyed their new dark ride Nights in White Satin. Unfortunately
won't be returning because, like I said, the main park is, IMHO, lame. Not worth the money. They have an arcade called "Pinball Wizard" - I
expected it to have at least a few classic pinball machines--it didn't. So that was a disappointment.
Some nice effects are:
-- A classic walk-through spinning cylinder that is very dizzying (the rest of the ride is a on a ride vehicle)
-- Puffs of fog blown at you
-- A long corridor of hundreds of flickering candles (spookiest portion)
-- A green laser vortex effect (need to find a good certified 5mW for my own laser vortex effect this Halloween; any recommendations)
Are there any non-Disney dark rides you would make a special trip to see? e.g. fly out specifically to see? I've never been in a dark ride that has come close to the Haunted Mansion in terms of effects and theming.
