Did the Walking Stick (Item #65) always have this information listed?:

Another question... | ||
Registration (merch pickup) will be on both Tuesday the 8th and Wednesday the 9th, right? According to the website, it says 5-10pm at the Grand Californian.
Will the artists be on hand all that time, for autographs? Also, how long does it usually take to get registered and pick up ones stuff? Unless they extend hours from last year, DCA will be closed by 6pm that day (DLR at 8pm) and it would be nice to be able to go handle registration after a nice day at the parks. But. If an hour is not enough time, that plan might not work for me. |

The artists will be there on 9/9 from 1pm - 4pm according to the itinerary

Looks the HM is going to be closed Sept 10th-24th for the HMH overlay
From Mouseplanet: Haunted Mansion closed - September 10 - 24 for refurbishment. |

Yeah. I am not sure what to do about autographs. I collect for me... not to resell... so I don't really care. But. It seems foolish to miss the
opportunity.
Then again, those lines will probably be long. Hmmm. |

Do people usually get the certificate of authenticity signed? Or the actual item?
The Genii |
People have one or both signed. They usually limit the number of items you can have signed (though the artists are happy to oblige you with more if the Event
Services watchdogs aren't watching at that moment).
The line is usually long at the beginning, then peters out after an hour or two. Personally, I don't bother with having things signed, but that's because I have to have everything shipped to the east coast and it's just a pain in the tush. |

Only 2 more months to go!!! Anybody else getting excited?

I think I am a little TOO excited. I have already planned most of the details of the trip and have everything in a little folder labeled "HM Trip".
heh.

Just got this... interesting...
If you would like to keep this item on your RSP as previously submitted you will not need to take any action at all. If you prefer to resubmit your preferences, you may do so using the RSP Entry link. Or, if you would like us the remove item #65 and move each of your lower selections up one place, please let us know by replying to this message. Thank you,

That is interesting. Opps we made an extra 10! Oh well it will just be another $2,950 in Disney's pocket if they sell them all

I think it's great news because 10 more people will be able to obtain the Walking Stick. Spread the love, baby, spread the love.
They ALWAYS make extras above the stated number in the edition in case of damage during shipping, or one that has a poor finish and a customer wants a different one, and so on. In this case there must have been quite a few extras in order for them to add 10 to the edition. |
shirleyfilms |
I wonder how long they hold onto those extras before destroying them (assuming the destroy them).
The Genii |
They don't destroy them. The VIPs are given gift baskets with most or all of the RSP items as souvenirs. My guess is that people who work in Event
Services, or higher-ups who think something is cool, might also get one.
I publish books and when doing a limited edition, you often end up with extras. If your limited edition is numbered 1 to 50, then your extras can be lettered and noted as "Publisher's presentation copies" or something like that. If you ever see a limited edition book with a blank space where the number should be, then you can be pretty sure it's an "extra" and was given as a gift. |

You would think that if they have the end count of how many walking sticks there are going to be, that they could probably upload a photo of the finished
product.

The Genii |
That's a DAMN good point! However, they may be relying on a report from the factory in China and not actually have them in their posession.
