That is why you needed to have a way to refresh it many times automatically checking for a "changed" page.
That was the only way I actually got in.

Figured I would post this since there is (as of 1 minute ago) still a package that can be bought, the 85.00 one.
First thing you need is FireFox which you can get from http://www.mozilla.com then once that is installed you need to visit from within firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3028 and download check4change. Once its installed, visit disneygallery.com and try to sign up. Of course you will get the message about "refresh this page" etc etc. Highlight any part of the page you KNOW will change when you get an opening and right click on that highlighted text, then under Check 4 Change, choose custom interval and set for 1 or 2 seconds. Also make sure "bring to front" is checked if you wish to do this in multiple tabs (your best bet). Now just set all your tabs to check for changes on the registration page and when one hits it will bring it to the front for you to sign up. Hope this helps some people, even if its for future events. |

I can't even begin to tell you how mad I am that Disney wouldn't take phone calls in addition to online registering! I won't go into a rambling
message about how I wasn't able to get any of the packages, but thank god, some wonderful friends came thru for me and got me a hitchhiker tier! At least
I'll be going now. Before I get on the phone for an hour with Disney, are they even putting people on any kind of waiting list for any of the other tiers?

Got one Dearly Departed for Nightwing today. I'm on GGG, so I guess we were very lucky. Baby Wreath doesn't need one. Weird, I can never remember a
time when one of us (Doombugs) didin't get the package they wanted within reason of course (not a top $2K dinner or something), but we've all always
been able to go. So Sad.

After spending over an hour refreshing the screen as instructed (by the very rude Special Events agent) just attempting to get a single DD or Hitchhiker
package as mandated by the Special Events system (with the intent of making it fair), I was only able to get to the SOLD OUT screens. I was later told by an
even ruder special events agent that there were many redundancies in the ordering and that was most likely a result of single "fans" registering from
multiple entry points. Not that they even cared, as long as they get the money.
I have NEVER been so disgusted by D-mismanagement or fan greed. |

Yesterday the problems were blamed on the inauguration - everyone watching on their computers just brought the Internet to its knees. Today, it's the fault
of the customers trying to be 'greedy' and actually buy tickets to the event. For shame, greedy customers.
Event services needs to own up to this debacle and admit the registration process does not work. Monday they had several thousand potential customers very excited about an upcoming opportunity to spend money at Disneyland. Today most of those same people are upset and disappointed. Personally, I got two tickets Tuesday after that whole mess (and several unpleasant emails) and didn't get two tickets today for some people who would really like to be at the event and could use some good news these days. As a side point, the first event I went to was the mansion's 30th anniversary ten years ago. I've been single and partnered over the ten years since then, and I've gone to Happy Haunts Balls, Haunted Mansion Holiday events, Pirates of the Caribbean events, and even unofficial (non-Disney) events in the parks - and I've NEVER bought ONE ticket. I've always gone with someone else. Who in the world decided it would be a good idea to sell these tickets one at a time? It boggles the mind. |

Hubby got Dearly Departed for him and a Hitchhiking ghost for me. At this point I'm happy to even be going, but I'll be even happier if we can switch
the HHG for a DD package. Like I said before though...atleast I get cake!

Not much love yet for HeyDave42...
I managed to get a DD (even got a confirmation#) but when I tried to get his the server/site crashed. And crashed. And the phones were busy and busy... We are on the waiting list for the package we really want (FM) so we will see. Hopefully we will hear back from Disney tomorrow so we know if HeyDave42 gets any sort of reservation.... Very frustrating system. And it really doesn't have to be... We just want to come out and play with everyone!

You may very well receive an email from WDES, telling you that they have a ticket for you. If not, I hope that you will be able to add HD42, to your package. Anyway, I hope that everything works out very well for you. Just keep the faith.
