The only things on view at the event store are items that haven't sold or would normally be in the silent and/or live auction. The items that have already
been assigned in the RSP are all packed and stacked in a pile with each registrant's name on it. You come up to the table and they go away and bring all
your stuff out. Then it all has to be opened for your to examine (very important!), then they take it all away, repack it, and mail it to you. (That's one
of the reasons it takes them a week to mail stuff out afterward, aside from sheer volume).

thanks for the info Genii - I was hoping we would get to at least see all the LE1 items in person

Can we pick up our merchandise at the event? Or do we HAVE to have it shipped? |

You're free to take it with you (most locals do).
dizneydogs: hanging around at the artist signings will often give you a peek at some of the lower edition stuff. People have to unpack it and lay it on the table for the artist to sign. |

I wish I could take my stuff with me. When I think of all the postage I've spent at these merchandise events over the years, having stuff shipped from
Anaheim or Orlando to Washington, DC, it makes me ill.

At least John Mauvezin has more than just the door to sign if he attends. Could you imagine?
"Can you sign this for me?" "Sure" (Okay now I'm done for the day) |

I'm pretty sure that the door will have been pre-signed.

These days anyone can come up with a photo of an artist signing something. Certain things are unique: having a signature on them won't really affect the
value. The door is one of these items.

Well, between my dad and I, looks like we only have one ticket. He may be switching it over to me, and sticking to other stuff at DLR/DCA that day.

Blergh. Still no word on a second HH that we are on the waitlist for. Guess I'll be going alone.
I would truly love to meet up with some of you before the event. Any other single (for the evening!) Hitchhikers out there? |

Hey actualsize, I'm in the same boat as you with just one HH ticket. I'm hoping to meet some of the DB regulars at whatever pre-event gathering there
is.

If you haven't been to one of these events before, there's a lot of socializing that goes on in the parts of the event taking place in the hotel:
registration, merchandise viewing and pickup, event store, photo opportunity. So, even if you don't get to see the seminar and have the dinner, you will
get time to hang out with everyone during the day.
I think the Chef should make Doombuggies badges for us to wear, so we'll all recognize each other rather than just passing each other without meeting. |
