Haunted Mansion Costume shirt...WIP |
Lead | |
|
So with the 40th Anniversary event just around the corner, Ive been thinking about a cool project ive been wanting to make for some time now and i figured this
would be the place to get some feedback. Ive noticed alot of websites that sell shirts have been selling costume style shirts that look like memorable outfits
worn by characters in different movies and shows, ranging from "ghostbusters" to "the office" and i thought to myself, "wouldnt it be
cool to make a HM butler costume shirt?" Now i lack the skill to design the shirt the way i envision it but i made a very rough picture to get a feel for
what im aiming for and i would love to hear what should and could be done to make it better.

Interesting idea!
Perhaps you could add stripes and the Mickey Name tag (R.I.P), only give Mickey the bat ears! |

A Mild Re-design | ||

Sorry to bump an (relatively) old topic, but here's what I came up with. I did this a while ago after reading your topic, but haven't posted it yet.

Nicely done. Needs a nametag and pinstripes.

Bump away!
This version is much better. Post a picture when you make it! |

I probably won't make it, sorry. As for the pin stripes, I would have, but the program I used for this (Paint.Net), has a stripe filler (so, stripes might work) but thay came out much to thin for this and are barely visible. The nametag, I think, shoulc be a 3D version that would be sold with the shirt and personalized. Ya know, for all us HM nerds who want one. |

It's too bad that CafePress (or one of these other "make-your-own-tee-shirt websites) has such a small printable area. It would be neat to make this
idea available to people on there.
However, unless they have changed things recently, I think there is only a small area/box on the chest region available for printing. And I am fairly certain they don't do pinstripes. |

shirleyfilms wrote:It looks like California Screen Printing might be able to handle such a design. It's a tricky design to print because of the small white shirt area, which means printing a lot of green! |

How about having a green shirt in the appropriate shade, and just printing the white on the shirt and collar?

I know you've said that you aren't planning on putting these into production however, if you change your mind and you're looking for a group who
are pretty good about printing things outside the normal back and chest area, you may want to check these folks out. www.bluecotton.com
