Chef, we're these pieces at World of Disney in DTD or in the park because I didn't notice them when I was there 3 days after Bats Day. One of your
photos looks like it was taken at World of Disney. And is the organist on sale now?

I was just at WDW this past weekend and they didn't have either of the pieces at World of Disney or any of the Art of Disney stores in the parks or DTD so
looks like just DL for now.

wonder if the 2 Kidney/Daily pieces will be showing up at DL soon as well?

Both pieces were on display at WOD, and I think I saw the Organist alone at Disneyana, and the Shore piece alone at Off the Page. Perhaps the Shore piece was
on display last weekend specifically to promote it to the Bat's Day crowd, and they may have pulled it since. The Organist had a price tag, and looked like
it was on sale. I'm pretty sure the Kidney/Daily pieces are being made specifically for the event - I don't think that stuff will ever show up at the
park, unless it doesn't all sell on 9/9/09.

I just called Delivears and both the organist and the Jim Shore piece were protypes on display only and not for sale she didn't know when they would become
available for sale but she thought it wouldn't be until a few days before or after the event in Sept.
according to the HM 40th event merchandise page both of the kidney/daily pieces only 300 of the 500 pieces are for the event so not sure where exactly the other 200 pieces are going |

I'm surprised they displayed the WDCC piece as they did - I bet there were some disappointed people. The Shore piece definitely had a "See
associate for details" sign, but this (above) is how the WDCC piece looked in both displays. Is it still displayed like this at the park - does anyone
know?

dizneydogs, I believe the website says that the remaining 200 of the WDCC organist will be sold at WDW resort at a later date, after the DL sept event.

I should be going back to the DLR over Memorial Day weekend, so I'll see what's up with that piece.

Where are the other 200 of each of the Kidney/Daily pieces going? Why to be sold at the parks of course!
Sheesh! Doesn't that just annoy the hell out of you? |

Not to complain, but why not offer all 500 pieces of the Kidney/Daily merchandise to the attendees of the event? I'm guessing there are more than 500
people attending and we did
pay to attend, soooo -- why the split? Just curious

The 200 pieces will be sold at WDW, so that us HM collectors in the East coast who arent able to attend the DL event can still have a chance to buy one at the
park, instead of on ebay for $1,000 being sold by someone who did attend the Disneyland event. What makes more sense is to have an open edition, like they
have done with some of their WDCC POTC pieces, so that all potential buyers can have a fair chance. I hate limited editions. Some people who really want one,
sometimes cant get it and some opportunists buy more than one, so they can jack the price and sell them on ebay. At least, with a good number like 200 being
sold at the parks, there is a better chance of true collectors being able to get one for themselves.

I was at DLR today and the organist & Jim Shore piece are both on display at Off the Page in DCA and World of Disney in DTD, not in DL park itself. There
was a little card sitting by the organist piece in World of Disney that read, "Not for Sale" Release date 9/9/09 for HM event or something akin to
that. Even though I couldn't purchase either of the pieces, I was happy to at least get a close up look at them beforehand. They are both BEAUTIFUL pieces!
I'm so glad the Jim Shore HHG piece is an open edition!

My view: they should create limited edition merchandise for the events, sell it ONLY at the events, and destroy any unsold merchandise.

Why? That seems extremely selfish. Alot of HM fans might not be able to get to the event or even afford to go for many reasons, however they might be able to
save up enough $$ to buy a nice piece they like...why should they not be able to purchase a collectible they really want? And DESTROY the unsold merchandise??
wow, that really nice... AMAZING
