I made my first trip to WDW at the end of April. Great weather and not too crowded. I went to the magic Kingdom on day 2 and of course the Haunted Mansion. I
really did take a lot of pictures but very few came out. I don't know if the mansion is always that dark but if I didn't know what was supposed to be
coming up next I would have missed it. I did miss some things my first trip through. The attached video used Night shot
and was further enhanced during video editing to try and bring out some detail. As can be seen, it is still pretty dark.
Disneyland's HM, on the other hand, always seemed too bright. I mean you could see all the 'magic' as it were. (Ceiling tiles, scrims, wires, etc).
I think the two parks should get together and split the difference.
One of the problems may have been that I was trying out my new Cannon 18-55mm f3.5 image stabilized lens. It should have allowed me to go down to the equivalent f-stop of 1.8-2.0. I think I would have had better luck with the old 50mm f1.8 I used at Disneyland several years ago.
Anyway here are the pictures I did get.

Believe it or not, this is one of the better pictures from the ride which explains why there are no more.
