Without lots of the Asian-looking features, I wish the mansion looked more like this(buch much taller and haunted looking).

Mystic Manor ----- what's inside??!! | ||
|
So I, like most of you, I'm sure, am very VERY curious/concerned about the content, concept, and storyline of this new Mansion! Soooo many questions have yet to be answered, and I'm just dying to know how this is going to turn out...
oh, and I really don't mind the monkey thing. I see it as the new raven.
(oh, yeah. and I hope that the cute little monkey is okay after the "arrow attack")

I have to say that this looks awesome! Combining the Mansion, TDL ToT, and the Adventure's Club all into one attraction (and restraunt! so there is a bit
of PotC as well). Taking it more in tune with the Chinese superstitions and whatnot is brilliant!

Well, at the end of my day, it might as well be pink and full of fluffy bunnies. The chances of me going to Hong Kong are about the same as me winning the
Presidential Nomination in the next election.

I'd like to see a nod to all of the scenes of the original Haunted Mansion... but for them to be
presented in completely original ways. It could be much like searching for hidden mickeys. If you don't know the attraction, you won't notice all of
the references. These would be subtle and not at all in the forefront of the show the guest in meant to be watching. For instance:
- A ballroom couple dancing backward, perhaps figurines in a large music box or toy that cranks. - A replica of the organ from "20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea" sitting amongst the many collectibles. Maybe it could play by itself with or without an actual ghost visible. - A large chart naming exotic birds that the 'adventurer' used for reference with a Raven hidden somewhere among them. - One of the stretching room's paintings and a marble bust set on the ground amid a rare collection of art. - An old crystal ball lying with some tarot cards on a table covered in strange old relics along with the traditional viking cap worn by the Opera Singing Ghost and an old revolver like the one used in the ballroom scene. Maybe a suit of armor can be standing nearby. - A wedding ring among beautiful rare jewels. Also... I would love to see the original attraction's special effects used in entirely unique and creative ways amid all of the new technology. - There can be ghosts made with the Pepper's Ghost illusion doing something other than blowing out birthday candles or dancing. - Some paintings that change with the flash of lightning through a window of images we've never seen before. Or perhaps this illusion can be done without any 'paintings' at all. Maybe the wallpaper could change with the lightning... or anything else for that matter. - A 'breathing' door or other object could be featured. Maybe some of the relics could 'breathe'. - A projection like the one used for Leota and Constance could be cast onto a mannequin in the same way it is done in the Haunted Mansion...except that an entirely different figure could be introduced other than a gypsy or a bride. - Scrims could be utilized in many different ways. - Obviously animatronics similar to the graveyard ghosts could be used with new characters. - The two way mirror effect used for the hitchhiking ghost could be used to present something 'weird' in or around your vehicle with you. Maybe something that is standing still when you're facing it can appear to be moving when your vehicle turns its back to it. Maybe you could travel through a maze of mirrors, some genuine and some two way with effects. - And perhaps a room can stretch within the ride rather than before it begins. This illusion could be created in many ways.
Just some ideas.

I think the Monkey is a sneaky way to bring in a character from Pirates of the Caribbean!

It's part of an elaborate Haunted Mansion-Aladdin merger. ("Abu, no, DON'T TOUCH THAT....Oh, NOOOOOOOO!")
Explains the onion dome, too. |

Its like the peppers ghost effect, except instead of the ghosts being the reflection, we are. |
