Admittedly, I don't know all that much about Pressler's operational oversight of the parks and resorts--especially with regard to the "controversy" he reportedly caused in the Disney fan community.
I recall reading references to him in various Disney forum threads over the years, but never fully understood his level of influence, because I've always maintained the belief that Eisner ultimately established the corporate culture and profit-driven mindset that rubbed so many the wrong way, especially with the resulting adverse effects on traditional animation and the parks.
But in recent readings, I've seen Pressler's name resurface as the source of many frustrations regarding park operations. Now I'm curious to know just how much of my own frustration he may be directly responsible for.
Can someone please direct me to one or two (or maybe a few) more definitive resources I could read through to better understand his role in the so-called "controversy?"
Or if someone wants to write out their own diatribe, I'd certainly be willing to read through that as well.
Not that I think Eisner should be let off the hook a little or anything--never. No way. Among many, many other offenses, I will never forgive his inexcusable treatment of Roy E.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any recommendations or guidance.
